Welcome to Educational Anthropolicy

Welcome to Educational Anthropolicy, a website created by Jill P. Koyama, a sociocultural anthropologist committed to providing a public platform in which anthropologists, educators, and students can engage in, challenge, and contribute to contemporary dialogues and debates on educational policy.   With expertise in issues of education (broadly defined) and social policy, those situated in the field of anthropology and education are uniquely  poised to contribute to the multiple and intersecting policy conversations.  This site aims to integrate anthropological perspectives with scholarship from other disciplines to further  re-examine the linkages between culture, education, and social policy.

Construction continues  with additions being made sporadically. There are currently links to related websites, organizations, readings, places, and anthropologists and educational researchers whose innovative, thought-provoking, and timely work  explicitly addresses policy processes . Soon, it will also highlight books, articles, and related  readings.  Ultimately, Educational Anthropolicy will feature a bimonthly blog focusing on current issues in educational policy that will be hosted by different experts from the field.  Questions, comments, or suggestions?
